'There are playful poems, puzzling poems, thoughtful and intriguing ones... And through all the poems runs Trevor Parsons’ love and mastery of language'
Julia Donaldson, former Children's Laureate and writer of The Gruffalo
Lucy Creed originally studied Fine Art, and as a voracious sketcher she has always loved to document everything and everyone around her in her drawings.
Trevor Parsons has been writing poetry for over twenty years and he has had his work published in numerous acclaimed anthologies. His writing covers a myriad of subjects, from dinosaurs and endangered species to searching for love on the Internet.
When Trevor and Lucy met whilst working together at a model making company they immediately became great friends, sharing a great love of words and generally laughing at life, but probably most regularly at themselves.
In 2011 they collaborated on Trevor's sell-out book ‘Hear Here’, and it was immediately clear the combination of Trevor's words and Lucy's illustrations created something special. Keen to give their creative collaboration the chance to shine beyond the bookshelf, in 2015 they launched Poet and Painter.
Every card has been carefully created with the intention to make you smile, reflect or just quietly raise a knowing eyebrow. With an ever-growing stash of poems and a twitching paintbrush, there is plenty in the pipeline...
